Admission requirements

You only need to meet one of the requirements below.

Excellent record + 20 points

An excellent (Good) Grade 12 record and at least 20 points in three graduation exam subjects — an eligible combination or Maths + Literature + any subject.

High school students

Graduation score of 8.50+

A high school graduation score of 8.50 or above — no additional record or total-score requirement.

Assessed like 2026 candidates if you meet the threshold. Graduates of 2024 or earlier do not receive regional priority points.

No Biology at high school? Candidates admitted to Nursing or Medicine with a subject combination that does not include Biology, and who did not study Biology at upper secondary level, will take a supplementary upper-secondary Biology course organised by the University (free of charge) after admission and enrolment.

Is the Medicine program officially authorised?
Yes. The Ministry of Education and Training authorised Trung Vuong University to offer the undergraduate Medicine program (code 7720101) under Decision No. 1681/QĐ-BGDĐT dated 17 June 2026. The program is included in the 2026 supplementary admission notice signed on 20 August 2026.
Where will I study?
On the main campus in Tam Duong, Phu Tho province. Parents and applicants can receive advice and submit documents at the Hanoi admissions office (Floor 12A, Ho Guom Plaza, 102 Tran Phu, Ha Dong).
What if I do not meet the Medicine requirements?
An adviser will recommend other health programs at the university, such as Nursing or Pharmacy, with requirements that suit you better.
Can earlier high school graduates apply?
Yes, if they meet the entry threshold. Candidates who graduated in 2024 or earlier do not receive regional priority points.
How are assistant doctors with a vocational diploma assessed?
They are eligible if they meet one of the five conditions listed under Admission requirements, and should also prepare their diploma and transcript.
Can I study while working?
No. Medicine is a full-time, on-campus program in Tam Duong (Phu Tho) over six years; there are no evening or weekend classes.
Is accommodation available?
Yes. In addition to the dormitory, students who enrol within the announced period receive six months of free apartment accommodation (on request).
My child did not take the Biology exam. Can they still apply?
Yes. Several combinations without Biology are accepted, including A01, D01, C14 and X01. Students who did not study Biology at high school receive a free bridging course after enrolment.
